How We Work Together

After initial contact, our process starts with a no-cost, no-obligation Get Acquainted meeting.  This is our chance to get to know each other a bit and talk about what you would like to accomplish.  We get a chance to explain how our financial planning process works and we’ll answer any questions you might have.  At the end of the meeting, if it seems like we would be a good fit to work together, we’ll invite you to be our client.

Next, we’ll discuss how best to address your unique situation.  With your input, we will propose the services we think are appropriate and give you an estimate on how much your plan will cost.  If you decide to proceed, we’ll sign an agreement and begin gathering your information.

Once we have the information we need about your goals, expectations and current financial status, we can begin analysis and start formulating your plan.  There may be one or more meetings required to clarify and refine elements of your plan during this time.  It is important to remember that we are working together so your participation is vital.

Finally, we will develop the recommendations that will address your concerns and questions and schedule a presentation meeting.  At this meeting we will discuss the details of your plan, outline the recommendations and how they will best be implemented.  We encourage our clients to implement the recommendations themselves, although we do provide options to guide you through the process.

Financial planning is best seen as an ongoing process without any real beginning or ending.  Ideally, clients will monitor their financial situation and schedule a periodic review with us to keep the plan on track and make any necessary adjustments when your circumstances change.
